Lake Carolina is served by one of the finest public school districts in the state of South Carolina, Richland School District Two.

Students living in Lake Carolina attend Lake Carolina Elementary, Kelly Mill Middle, and Ridge View High schools.

Kelly Mill Middle School opened in August 2004 and serves the children of Lake Carolina as well as surrounding northeast Columbia communities. Convenient walking distance from Lake Carolina Elementary, Kelly Mill Middle School is the latest addition to the growing educational campus within Lake Carolina.

Richland School District Two prides itself on introducing proven and innovative approaches to education. This is one of the first campuses that combines an elementary and middle school in the Columbia area.

One of the unique aspects of the new educational complex are the two separate entrances. One entrance opens up into the Lake Carolina community, giving our children safe access to ride their bike or walk to school. The other main entrance accesses Kelly Mill Road.

Continuing adult education is also readily available from the University of South Carolina and several other institutions of higher learning within an hour's drive. Click here for more information.
