Lake Carolina Elementary named Palmetto's Finest

COLUMBIA, S.C. -- Lake Carolina Elementary was one of four schools statewide to be named a 2008 Palmetto's Finest School, the sixth consecutive year a Richland 2 school has received the honor. The awards are presented each year to two elementary schools, one middle school and one high school. In addition, Lake Carolina is one of five S.C. schools named as a National Blue Ribbon Finalist. Winners will be announced in the fall.
